“Energetic Disassembly” by Watchtower is undoubtedly among the most influencing Techno-Progressive-Metals of all times. Even when you find this Music Record Shop to be light in tone and production, you need to know that it was released in the 1980s, where the guitar tones were especially thin. This album can be called a bridge from the classic Progressive-Rock of the 70s to the Progressive-Techno-Metal of present day.
Watchtower began an entire genre of music with Energetic Disassembly. This includes technical-death-metal and technical-thrash. If you are a fan of mental, talent and intelligence then you really need to get this Music Record Shop album.
Energetic Disassembly begins with “Violent Change.” This song is a thrashing song of praise with a modest pace, slight and pleasant riff and Billy White’s solo is a killer piece of it. As found is almost all the tracks in this album, the chorus is going to remain with you for some time.
“Asylum” is faster and it receives a blend of White’s little solo work and the harmonized wails from McMaster. Your favorite is probably going to be “Tyrants of Distress” that has a remarkable slogging verse and the chorus is again going to accompany you for some time.
Doug Keyser, the bass maestro has added some pounding bass into “Social Fears,” only to be followed by a beguiling guitar riff. You would also note the elegant, even though undersized bass, that Keyser adds past the chorus. “ArgonneForest” is a neither too fast nor slow, where Watchtower has gone to the period of World War I. The song is infused with White’s piercing guitar line which is subsequently added with a frenzied solo to increase the pace.
One of the low-pitched and slow-paced parts of Energetic Disassembly is “Cimmerian Shadows.” And, when it comes to the most lovable song, you would certainly fall for “Meltdown.” Is it fast? It is hectic, has instant time shifts and the chorus is unforgettable. Check the Watchtower – Energetic Disassembly Music Record Shop to enjoy your copy.
